The 12 Blinds of Christmas

Over the 12 days of Christmas, we posted about the different Blinds, Curtains, and Shutters we offer to help customers understand the products we offer for those looking for a fresh look in the new year.

Day 1: Roller Blinds

Roller blinds are typically one of the cheapest options for Blinds, though that doesn't mean they lack quality. Roller blinds are highly customisable, coming in a range of colours and patterns to suit any aesthetic. Rollers are also one of the few blinds with a motorised option, offering greater convenience and accessibility for those who may want or need it.

Day 2: Vertical Blinds

Much like Roller Blinds, Verticals are cheap and very customisable. If you have young children or pets, then Verticals can be ideal. This is because you can choose a wand control instead of the traditional cord control, allowing you to have blinds without any cords or wires that could otherwise be a risk.

Day 3: Real & Faux Wood Venetians

When choosing Wood Venetians, you can choose real or faux wood. Faux wood is ideal for high-moisture areas like kitchens or bathrooms, whilst real wood is more sustainable. Both are visually stunning, however and come in a variety of colours that can make any room feel even more luxurious.

Day 4: Metal Venetians

Sharing many benefits with Wood Venetians, Metal Venetians come in a wide range of colours, making them perfect for any room style. They're also durable and easy to maintain, making them ideal for busy households.

Day 5: Roman Blinds

Roman Blinds offer a unique style when choosing blinds. This is because they're closer to Curtains in material and pattern, whilst having the functionality of a roller blind. They are perfect for elegant aesthetics and offer excellent light control. The installation options also mean they can take up less space than traditional curtains, helping a room appear larger.

Day 6: Perfect Fit Blinds

Arguably one of the most sleek options for windows. Perfect Fits fit into the window frame with no drilling or screws needed. They're ideal for patio doors as they are attached to the doors themself, leaving nothing hanging or flapping around when you have the door open. They're also child-friendly, easy to maintain, and available in a variety of designs to suit your needs.

Day 7: Blackout Blinds

Blackout Blinds are perfect for day sleepers or rooms that need to be as dark as possible during the day. No window option is capable of blocking out 100% of the light, but Blackout Blinds are as close as you can get. Like Roller Blinds, they come in a variety of colours and patterns to suit any room style. They're also easy to maintain, as a simple wipe-down with a wet cloth removes any dust or dirt. They're also the ideal option for ceiling windows.

Day 8: Vision Blinds

Also known as Zebra Blinds or Day-and-Night Blinds, Vision Blinds offer a modern, stylish option for your windows. They are a safe, durable and versatile option as they don't contain any loose cords and are made with high-quality materials. This makes them an ideal choice for pet owners or parents of young children. You can also opt for a remote-controlled option with Vision Blinds, making them perfect for those unable to open and close every set of blinds by hand.

Day 9: Fabric Venetians

Our newest option for your windows, Fabric Venetians, offers a unique look for your windows. They offer all the practicality of Wood or Metal Venetians with a material that may better suit your room design. Venetians offer a perfect balance of light control and privacy that other fabric options cannot match, making them an ideal choice in a living room or dining room that benefits from the perfect balance of style and practicality.

Day 10: Shutters

Whilst generally a little more costly, Shutters offer a range of benefits that make them worth it. With Real Wood and Faux Wood options available, shutters can be highly versatile, durable, sustainable and easy to maintain. The lack of cords also makes the Shutters child safe, perfect for households with young children or pets. Their durability and design can also protect your windows from messy fingerprints or that football that keeps getting kicked around in the house. Shutters can also benefit your home due to their insulating properties and ability to increase property value, helping you save money or get a little more if you decide to sell.

Day 11: Perfect Fit Shutters

Perfectly combining two window options to give the best of both worlds, Perfect Fit Shutters are made to be practical, durable, sustainable, and maintainable. They offer all the benefits of Shutters but take up far less room, thanks to a frame that fits directly into the frame of your windows and doors. Their sleek design offers precise light control without affecting the functionality of the windows.

Day 12: Curtains

Last but certainly not least. Curtains come in a range of colours, patterns, and designs to suit your aesthetic. Unlike most Blinds and Shutters, Curtains are designed to be a feature point in a room, making them a perfect choice for room design, even when used alongside Blinds and shutters. That's not to say they aren't also practical, however, as the right fabric and lining can either block out most sunlight (perfect for bedrooms) or diffuse it (to create a cosy, comfortable atmosphere). On top of all this, they're also versatile, easy to maintain and cost-effective.
